Signing a JAR file

Make sure you have a valid JDK loaded.

Create a key

keytool -genkey -validity 3650 -keystore pKeyStore -alias D2key
Enter keystore password:

  [no]:  yes

Enter key password for <D2key>
       (RETURN if same as keystore password):

Now Self-Sign the key

keytool -selfcert -keystore pKeyStore -alias D2key -validity 3650
Enter keystore password:

Now sign the JAR file

jarsigner -keystore pKeyStore AppletClass.jar D2key
