Happy New Year!!
Made our annual pilgrimage to NYC on Sunday .... either the crowds were worse than I remembered or I'm just getting old and less tolerant.
Had lunch in ESPN ZONE in Times Square ... great idea Nick since it was a SUNDAY during FOOTBALL Season!!
The just did some sightseeing of all the holiday windows along with a visit to the "Big Toys-r-us" and the American Girl store.

Yeah, during our NYC stroll a couple of weeks ago, we made the mistake of trying to walk past Radio City Music Hall at about 1pm on a Saturday afternoon... it took about 15 minutes to push through the sidewalk gridlock there. At one point someone trying to walk the opposite direction and I had time enough to start a conversation. She asked why it was so crowded right there, and I replied that it had finally happened: everyone in the city had converged at the same spot at the exact same moment, and this was the result ;-)

The Twelfth Commandment ...
I'm sure you've heard of the Ten Commandments ... brought by Moses down from the mount .... why everyone believed they were carved by the finger of GOD and not Moses himself while he was up there is beyond me. Personally I like George Carlin's version myself. But I digress ....
The Twelfth commandment is:
"Thou shall not hack the Wii"
This amendment to the previous eleven commandments was enacted by my son who became concerned when he saw me watching this video:
Pretty cool .... I think I'll be picking up a spare wiimote and a Bluetooth dongle pretty soon ....
Oh ..... and in case you were wondering .... the Eleventh Commandment:
"Thou shall not hack the TIVO"

Christmas Tree 2007
Got our tree at Beck's Christmas Trees in Stone Church, PA
We've noticed all the local Christmas Tree farms have been picked clean by all the "city folk" ... so we're forced to go further west.
