SpaceShipOne Wins $10 Million ANSARI X PRIZE
SpaceShipOne completed it second flight within less than a week to claim the ANSARI X Prize.
The contest was created to foster private space exploration. The winner would be the first team to successfully reach space (62 mile altitude) two times within a two week period.
SpaceShipOne was able to reach space twice in less than a week.
